Just like normal football fans who have like passion for specific clubs, footballers themselves do have certain clubs they support as well.
While some players support certain clubs probably as a result of their family’s choice, others tend to be fans of clubs they play or have played for.
Occasionally we have seen some football stars voice out clubs they were once supporters of, example are the likes of Luke Shaw of Man United who grew up being a Chelsea fan, John Terry and Hakim Ziyech who were Man United fans at some points etc.
The latest player to voice out the club he once supported while growing up is Borussia Dortmund’s winger Jordan Sancho.
The prolific winger revealed in a interview that while growing up he used to be a fan of West London club Chelsea Fc.
Sancho even went further to add that his idols as a young footballer were Chelsea duo of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
In his words, he had this to say, “I was a Chelsea fan while growing up. I am not going to lie. Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard were my favorite players at the time. I just love Frank Lampard and how he played his game”.
Jadon Sancho is a subject of a transfer speculation from Chelsea alongside his fellow teammate Erling Haaland.
The players admission did spark reactions from Chelsea fans online, as they felt their club should go all out and sign Sancho.
