Checkout Barça Transfer news and rumours

Barcelona is having a very busy summer transfer window, after completing 3 signings in space of a week. The club is now planning on selling a few players to reduce the heavy wage bill at the Club, and also make the arrival of Memphis Depay possible.

Latest Transfer reports:

📰 [MD] | Clément Lenglet is refusing to enter into any swap-deals

He was offered to Roma in exchange for Lorenzo Pellegrini, but the Frenchman, whose contract was just renewed in October last year, has said he does not want to leave the Camp Nou.

– The signing of Pellegrini is difficult, as Roma does not want to swap players and they are pointing to his €30m release clause

His contracts ends in 2022 and he is demanding €4.5m from Roma to renew, whereas Barça just refused to raise their €4m offer to Wijnaldum.

– Juventus would be willing to offer Rabiot or Bentancur in a swap-deal operation in exchange for Miralem Pjanić, but if they fail to find a solution with Barça with an exchange of players, they would consider having the Bosnian midfielder on loan.[MD]

– Carles Aleña has returned from his loan-spell at Getafe and he would like to stay at Barça to show that he has a place in the first team, a possibility that is complicated by the continuity of Ronald Koeman. [MD]

– Depay has been handed a three-year contract with a salary higher than Barcelona had proposed originally, with the Spanish side hoping it will be high enough to convince Depay to sign on immediately.

President Joan Laporta was left stunned at just how quickly the move for Wijnaldum collapsed, and he is adamant it won’t happen again with Depay, who has been handed an improved offer to get things over the line quicker. There are also reports suggesting Juventus are contemplating a late push for the Dutch forward. – If Depay signs, the Blaugrana’s could have 10 forwards in the squad, thus several attackers need to be sold by the club in order to balance the group.
