Nigeria’s Minister of Data and Tradition, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that Twitter reached out to the federal government for talks.
He revealed this on Wednesday.
Recall that the federal government had final week Friday cited interference as an excuse to drop the operations of the microblogging website.
Based on DailyTrust, talking with State Home correspondents after the weekly Federal Govt Council (FEC), Mohammed stated Twitter had reached out to the federal government looking for high-level dialogue to resolve the difficulty.
He stated that he bought the message on Wednesday morning.
The minister burdened that the microblogging platform was suspended as a result of it supplied an avenue for folks threatening the company existence of Nigeria.
In keeping with him, the proprietor of Twitter helped to fund the latest #EndSARS protest whereas permitting the chief of the Indigenous Folks of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, use the platform to name for the killing of policemen.
