IGP Announces Fresh Appoints, Retains Mba As Force PRO



The Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has reported new arrangements.

He selected AIG Hafiz Inuwa, as the Force Secretary and an individual from the Force Management Team while holding CP Frank Mba as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) and Ag. CP Idowu Owohunwa as his Principal Staff Officer (PSO).

Inuwa takes over from AIG Mustapha Dandaura who has been redeployed to Zone 7 Police Headquarters, Abuja.

AIG Hafiz Inuwa holds a Masters certificate in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA).

Before his arrangement as the Force Secretary, he was the Assistant Inspector-General of Police accountable for Zone 13 Ukpo-Dunukofia in Awka, Anambra State, covering Anambra and Enugu State Police Commands.

He recently filled in as the Commissioner of Police, Delta and Cross River States, among different positions. He is an individual from the renowned National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS), Kuru, Jos.

Mba, a legal advisor and an individual from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), is a graduate of the University of Dundee, Scotland – United Kingdom, where he procured a Master’s Degree in Law.

An IVLP researcher, he holds a Diploma in Police Strategic Management from the University of Virginia, USA and an alum of the lofty FBI National Academy (FBINA) in Quantico, Virginia, USA.

The PRO holds a Certificate in National and International Security from Harvard University, USA.

Owohunwa, the new PSO, holds a Bachelor’s certificate in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies and Policing from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

A Chevening Scholar, he holds a Diploma in Police Strategic Management at the University of Virginia, USA and an alum of the worldwide perceived FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, USA.

Owohunwa was the PSO-IGP somewhere in the range of 2015 and 2016, and to the quick past IGP, Mohammed Adamu. This re-arrangement denotes the third time he is standing firm on the footing as the Principal Staff Officer to the Inspector-General of Police.
